About Us

We are pleased to announce the establishment of the European Board for Examination and Certification in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (EBEC-FPRS) in September 2022. Since our inception, we have undergone a period of intensive preparation and collaboration. We engaged with two significant European organizations in our pursuit. Firstly, we presented our objectives to the Board Members of UEMS-ORL (European Union of Medical Specialists) during their annual meeting in Copenhagen in October 2022. Our project was thoroughly discussed and unanimously accepted by the delegates. Subsequently, it was further deliberated and approved during the General Assembly of the European Board Examination in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (EBEORL-HNS) in September 2023.

Additionally, we introduced our project to the Presidents of the International Board for Certification in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (IBCFPRS) and the International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery Societies (IFFPSS) in October 2022, at the AAFPRS (American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery) annual meeting in Washington. We presented our goals, motivations, and proposed a close collaboration. In September 2023, during the EAFPS (European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery) annual meeting in Verona, we engaged in further productive discussions, where all parties expressed their willingness to cooperate.

Our primary focus centres on the meticulous administration of the European Board examination and certification process in facial plastic surgery. We believe that this marks a significant advancement in the field of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Europe.
